    Daniel Hollander, M.D. is the director of the scientific and medical research initiatives of The Broad Foundation and a professor of medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. Before joining The Broad Foundation, he was president/CEO of the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Hollander has held several academic leadership positions including executive dean and professor of medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and head of the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). While at UCI, he also served as associate dean for research and program development, associate dean for academic affairs and senior associate dean for clinical affairs. 
    Heather Kubinec is the research administrator for the Broad Medical Research Program for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Grants. Ms. Kubinec is a member of the Society of Research Administrators and the National Council of University Research Administrators. She received a bachelor’s degree from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
    Kathryn Moriarty is the assistant research administrator for the Broad Medical Research Program for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Grants. She coordinates the peer review of Letters of Interest and grant applications. Ms. Moriarty has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from California State University, Northridge.
