Project Title:  Define human T cell and antibody responses to dominant intestinal antigens

Specific Aims

   1.    Isolation of epithelial cells from mucosa of IBD patients and controls and establishment of short term cultures for definition of clonal differences.

   2.    Characterization of basal expression profiles and alterations after challenge with full spectrum of dominant microbial products/antigens.

   3.    Definition of functional characteristics associated with microbial driven changes in expression profiles.
