Principal Investigator: Fabio Cominelli, M.D., Ph.D.
Applicant Organization: University of Virginia (Charlottesville, U.S.A.)
Project Title: Establishment of mouse T cell lines that respond to bacterial antigens
Period of Award: January 1, 2003 - December 31, 2003
Specific Aims
1. Develop an in vitro system using LMN and LPL cells isolated from SAMP1Fc and TNFDARE to test the ability of microbial antigens and ‘modulines’ to induce cytokine production. Cytokines to be tested include IL-1, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12 and IFNg.
2. Develop a system in which antigens detected in specific aim 1 will be tested against mouse sera from SAMP1Fc and TNFDARE mice using ELISA.
3. Test the ability of antigens identified by Corixa investigators in the model systems developed in specific aims 1 and 2.
